With Labor Day tomorrow, many people will be wanting to chill beverages quickly when they run out of cold drinks. Recently, I saw a link to this video on youtube and I cannot remember who had linked me, so I can’t give credit. However, after watching the video, I now know how to make my soda cold quickly. This is wonderful being that Leon has a defective gene that means he doesn’t put soda in the refrigerator when we bring it home from the store so our soda is warm all of the time unless I see that it’s out and put it in there.

It’s ok. I can see you shaking your head. I am, too.

So, for those of you with warm drinks, who need to make them cold QUICKLY, enjoy!

Some people, like my husband, like to fidget. If you get him a paperclip he can hold in his hand, he will drive you crazy with it by manipulating it for hours while you attempt to talk to him or get his attention. It’s how he rolls.

It’s also how some of you roll and a reason why Mondays are so hard for some of you. Mondays require attention on a day you’d rather have second Sunday. My friend, Chels, shared this with me and the only thing I could think of was “I so want to know these people.” Marriage is so incredibly personal and while customs can be a beautiful way of celebrating it, stepping outside of tradition to allow guests to have a small glimpse behind that facade signifies that a couple is going to do so much more than the norm. They are showing the witnesses that they are going to be healthy enough to allow these people to support them in hard times and see who they really are. It’s a beautiful thing.

On Sunday, you may need a little excitement to your day. I know in our home, Sunday is a day of naps (woooot!) and relaxing and Nascar (UGH!). I recently acquired a new to me vehicle. I’ll write about, complete with pictures, in the very near future, as I have some interesting things to tell. One of the main things that my new to me vehicle has, that I’ve never had before, is a sunroof.

Let me tell you this. If any of you ever pull this on me, I will make you the sorriest person you’ve ever heard of in ways that are 100% legal.

It’s Saturday! What are you doing today? For me, know that I’m spending today sleeping and being slothful. Likely, I’m soaking in family time and and enjoying time away from school and work. A couple of weeks ago, I stumbled upon a video about an experiment. I have a background in research and I’ve been an avid fan of sociology for a while. What is it that compels groupthink? While watching this, I thought it was amazing that people would blindly follow the instructions and that they enjoyed doing so. It also reminded me that, deep down, we are simplistic creatures who truly appreciate one another.

My favorite part was when the people mimicked someone who had no idea what was going on. Take a peek! And enjoy your day!
